Insect Invasion: The Legendary Mage's Revenge
When monstrous Insects invade their world and murder his wife, Ethan—the Divine Mage and humanity’s greatest hope—vanishes without a trace. For twelve years, he keeps his powers sealed to protect his daughter, Lilith. But when she joins the Insect Hunter Squad to avenge her mother, they are drawn into a deadly conspiracy involving spies and a brutal underground arena. With Lilith’s life at stake, Ethan must unleash his true power and rise as the Divine Mage once more.
Story Guide
Episode 1
The Insect Queen's swarm descends, and the Divine Mage arrives too late to stop the slaughter. He destroys the attackers, but the Queen's venom has already done its work — it can only be countered once, and he can save either his wife Willa or his daughter Lilith, not both.
Willa makes the choice for him. She begs him to keep their daughter safe and to seal his magic until Lilith turns eighteen. He promises, and the Divine Mage disappears from the world.
Years pass. Lilith grows up believing her father is nothing but a plumber — and that his fear is the reason her mother is gone.
Episode 2
Lilith announces she has signed up for the Insect Hunter Squad trials, determined to fight on the front line and avenge her mother. Ethan tries to talk her out of it, but she throws his warnings back at him: he's just a plumber, and she's a novice mage who isn't afraid of pests.
Meanwhile, the Insect Queen orders Victor to hunt down Ethan in Moon City, promising him a crown if he delivers the Divine Mage's head. Victor, Dean of Bastion Magic Academy, swears he has eyes on every street.
At the trials, Lilith is mocked as a slum girl who can't possibly beat Jack, the Dean's son.
Episode 3
Ethan shows up at the arena to stop Lilith before her match even begins, and the crowd jeers at the plumber's daughter. Lilith refuses to back down — this is her fight, and he doesn't get to decide it for her.
Jack and his supporters pile on, sneering that a girl from the slums doesn't belong in the arena. Lilith fires back that magic has nothing to do with gender and that she's as talented as anyone there.
Ethan quietly teaches her one escape spell and warns her to run if she's ever in danger. She masters it on the first try — a hint of talent that stuns the onlookers.
Episode 4
Dark rain falls over the arena, and whispers spread that it corrupts the homeless into insectoid slaves. Victor watches it with satisfaction, certain the human world will soon belong to the Insect Queen.
The Dean arrives to oversee the final, and Victor makes clear that Jack must win the squad spot. When Ethan publicly begs Lilith to withdraw, the Dean orders him removed from the platform.
Jack taunts her, but the fight turns — Lilith isn't the easy target everyone expected. Still, the pressure mounts, and her father's interference has already humiliated her in front of the crowd.
Episode 5
Jack stops holding back. He summons a hound of hell — real power, the kind that ends fights — and orders it to kill her.
The crowd panics as the beast closes in on Lilith. She's outmatched, but she has one trick: the escape spell her father taught her. She turns it into a weapon, and the arena goes silent.
A natural fighter, someone murmurs — but the wrong person using the wrong magic in the wrong place. The spell she just cast is one only the Divine Mage should be able to wield.
Episode 6
Spatial magic. The Dean's people recognize it instantly, and Ethan's blood runs cold — if anyone connects that spell to him, everything he's protected for twelve years falls apart.
He steps forward and claims Lilith cheated, producing a ring he says is a magic artifact. Lilith protests she has never even seen it. She's branded a disgrace and disqualified from the squad.
Ethan forces the lie anyway, telling himself it will keep her safe. Lilith stares at him, furious and confused. The crowd starts asking the question he dreads: who are these people, really?
Episode 7
Ethan insists he's just a plumber with a high mage somewhere in the family, and the ring is an heirloom. His bluff barely holds.
Victor demands compensation for Jack and rejects the ring as worthless. He threatens to send the arena footage to the major association — a threat that would strip Ethan of his magic and expose him to the Insect Queen's spies.
So Ethan surrenders the house. Lilith is horrified: without a home, the homeless get turned into insectoids. She calls him a coward and says she hates him. Jack is declared the winner.
Episode 8
Lilith vanishes through a spacetime gate, and Ethan searches desperately for her. She has gone somewhere he never wanted her to see: the underground beast arena.
Her plan is brutal and simple — fight for money, pay off Jack, and buy back their house. Tonight's opponent is a mantis bug, a mage killer that can cut through shields like butter and kill a novice in one hit.
Victor hears the rumors of a girl wielding spatial magic in the arena. He realizes exactly whose daughter she must be.
Episode 9
Ethan tracks Lilith to the beast arena and orders her down, but the arena master won't let anyone interfere with a paid match. He sneers that a man this weak could never be the Divine Mage.
The fight begins: a teenage girl against a mantis bug, to the death. The crowd can feel the danger from the stands.
The mantis bug speaks — it isn't a mindless beast, and it has no intention of being anyone's entertainment. It lunges for Lilith, promising to eat her first.
Episode 10
Lilith hurls a fireball and refuses to run, telling her father she'd rather die on her feet than be a coward like him. When the mantis bug presses the attack, Ethan can't hold back any longer.
He unleashes his true power — the Divine Mage, revealed at last. The arena master insists the fight can't be stopped, but Ethan ends it anyway.
The mantis bug rises again, and Ethan stands between it and his daughter. After twelve years of silence, the world's strongest warrior is back — and the Insect Queen's hunters now know where to find him.
