Story Guide
Episode 1
Elena Raines has made her choice: she tells her mother she obeyed, returned to the Gu family, and finally found a place where she's treated decently. But the cost is enormous — the legendary healer Sanshui will cease to exist. From now on there is only the Gu family's eldest daughter, living the quiet life her mother wanted for her.
Word of that decision hasn't traveled far before trouble arrives. The head of the Mo family formally requests that the healer Sanshui come out of seclusion, and elsewhere Huo Meixiang is already climbing a dangerous mountain path in search of the same miracle worker. Her illness demands rest, yet she pushes on, determined to live long enough to see Huo Yuan — Elena's fiancé — marry the Gu daughter he's newly engaged to.
And when a voice warns intruders away from a place called a resting ground, it's clear someone is still guarding the healer's secret.
